Old Family Recipes
My Sisters’ & Me began eight years ago when Hazel and several other women came together to recreate and develop desserts from old family recipes. In the beginning Hazel’s desire was to provide personalized desserts that were “family favorites” for people who don’t have time to bake. Since that time things evolved into special desserts by Miss Lady.
Heritage, Talents, Skills
Creativity with flavors is an understatement the way Hazel describes where she received her taste & skills from a father who was a chef and a long line of women stretching several generations in her family who’s talents in the kitchen were described as “incredibly delicious!”
With her corporate background in customer service, culinary training and family tradition Hazel’s experiences in baking became more than a business, it became her passion.
Travel, New Tastes, New Styles
After living two years in Arkansas, traveling in and around Texas, Mississippi, Louisiana, then a trip to France; Hazel found herself once again in the presence of some incredible cooks who shared with her techniques for baking desserts such as, Red Velvet Cake, Caramel Cake, Jelly Cake and several delicious pound cakes, fruit pies & a Chocolate Mousse Torte with a hint of Grand Marnier from France.
With the urging of several customers Hazel added two additional catagories for cakes: Specialty Cakes by Miss Lady and Wedding Cakes - simple but elegant.
